Absolutely in love WITH this APP! Super easy to use! I transfer my camera pics to my phone in ONE Second & Great Quality! Love it

This worked flawlessly with the A7s. Its a godsend for self-portraits and video.

What a piece of junk-ware. Forgot my password, no way around it, no way to reset. Ive had the same wonderful experience trying to get some satisfaction from Sony over camera equipment issues.

Please allow us to type in the code from the camera instead if QR. I does not work. Please.

Complaints and demands from some of these reviews are unreasonable, except for one - setup can be very frustrating. Setup on A7ii and RX10 III took quite a bit of head scratching. Exposure compensation is a great feature. Also mirror mode, bulb mode. Great app, clumsy setup. Still, 5 stars. Couldnt live without it.

I figured out how to connect my a6000 to my iPhone and send a picture from the camera to the phone. But thats not what I want to do. I want to control my camera from my iPhone. Theres no option for that. All it can do is transfer images.

This app is good, but it could be better without a ton of work. First, why cant the camera connect to the phone directly? Anytime I start wifi on the camera, it should be able to connect to the camera. Why cant it do that? The QR code does not work. Its too small for my iPhone 6 or iPad 3 to read. Either get rid of it or make it bigger. Looking forward to learning how to use the remote functions.

With the release of iOS 10 & iPhone 7 there is no excuse for not being able to transfer full size RAW files... Sony, fix this asap!

Sony is making no effort to provide a top quality app for its QX series if cameras!

The application was working perfectly until the iOS 10.0.2 update on my iPad. The website stated they would have a new version out in early October. I hope it will work as intended very soon.

Will upgrade my rating once I see if it works under IOS 8.0.2. Just got a new QX10 ordered and on its way, and am looking forward to putting it through its paces. Will be VERY disappointed if it doesnt work. Will be updating this review after the QX10 arrives to reflect how well the app performs once tested. UPDATE: OK got in the QX10, unboxed it, looked it over and found the wifi PW under the battery cover. Installed the battery and a new micro-SD card, turned it on... and didnt even bother looking at the manual for instructions. Turned on my 16G iPod running IOS 8.0.2, went to wifi settings and hooked right up to the camera without a hitch. Brought up the Playmemories app, and it worked beautifully right off the bat without a hitch. No problems whatsoever, everything works perfectly. I will give it 5 stars since everything works perfectly, but would like to see an easy way to manually set the ISO. Otherwise I am very happy with this, and have no idea why others are having problems. UPDATE #2: Found that my particular QX10 came with Ver. 1.00 firmware on it, so just upgraded to the latest which is Ver. 3.00 Also saw that an update for IOS to 8.1 was now available, so upgraded the iPod too. The very first test I conducted was to connect the iPod with the QX10, and they hooked up immediately just as before. Much to my delight, after launching the Playmemories app, I noticed there is now the setting I was hoping for to manually set the ISO! Everything works perfectly, and I am very happy with this slick little setup - 5 STARS Update: 10/2016 Am on IOS 9.3+ which looks like about the end of the line for my OLD 5th gen iPod touch that is still like brand new. Hmmmm.. Play Memories Mobile app still works perfectly. A fantastic app. Will continue with this until the great Apple railroad forces me into change.

Just did the app update and for some reason on the thumbnail page you can see all the pictures taken but when you click on a pic and then want to go through the pics by sliding left you are not able to see the pics only some pictures display. Sony, please a little but more elbow and grease if you want to win over photographers.

The one thing that annoys me, or confuses me, about this app is that when I take a picture it automatically saves it to the phone app, but then theres no way to delete it - even if its deleted on the camera. It takes up my phones storage, so not sure of the solution for this. Please help or fix!!

I am really frustrated that Sony limits imports to Original, 2mb and VGA. I have Sony A7r ii and I would like to have choices in between the 42mb original size and the 2mb, which is way too small. Why not 20mb or even 12mb. Maybe even different compression levels.

Love the touch to focus. Helps make up the much needed touch screen on the a6000

The focus does not work. Whats the point to make an app that lets you control the camera remotely if the focus does not work?

It would be great if you guys could add support to copy/transfer 4K and slow motion video.

I use this app manly to download photos to my iPhone or iPad from my Sony a6000 camera. The process is seamless and easy. Not the prettiest looking app but works well. I do wish that Sony would add support for the Apple Watch and to include a feature that could allow the watch to function as the shutter button. Seems like a no brained but apparently not!!! Someday??

Always says "failed to get information status of the camera." Tried over and over again. Wifi connects but app wont work. Frustrating.
